Ute Tail Bag / 1885

A long tapered pouch constructed from native-tanned hide, decorated with sinew-sewn seed beads on the obverse side. The uppermost portion consists of a downward-facing triangle using orange and red seed beads, below a flap on a white field. A sawtooth line emanates from the base, hoisting a long drop trimmed in blue and green. Behind the flap sits a long hide thong.
