Sioux Umbilical Fetish / 1880

A turtle fetish constructed from native-tanned hide and decorated on the topside with sinew-sewn seed beads. A spine of green/yellow is flanked by alternating rows of black/yellow, with a segmented perimeter of blue. Tin cone suspensions hoist from the appendages.
