Sioux Boy's Vest / 1880

A vest constructed from native-tanned hide and fully beaded on both sides, comprising a white background. The obverse features sinew-sewn downward-facing mirrored triangles of green, blue, greasy yellow, and red "white heart" seed beads. Directional crosses housing faceted steel beads flank the sides, with six crucifixes sitting atop the central motif. The reverse side is similarly decorated, with a central lane with branching arrows. An old "Hudson Bay CO" tag is affixed to the hide tie.
