Santee Sioux Pouch / 1890

A bag constructed from three segments of native-tanned hide, with abstracted floral motifs comprising yellow, white, blue, red, green, and pink. The mouth of the pouch is trimmed in red stroud, accompanied by a long hide thong. Fringe suspends from the base, wrapped in sinew-sewn seed beads.
