Plains Cree Moccasins / 1880

A pair of soft-soled moccasins constructed from native-tanned buffalo hide with red stroud around the ankles. The vamps feature stepped pyramids of blue, black, red, yellow, and pink terminated by pairs of feathers. The edges are horizontally beaded with a lane of pink seed beads featuring downward-facing pyramids.
