Kiowa Children's Moccasins / 1890

A pair of hard-soled moccasins constructed from native tanned hide with yellow ochred uppers. The cuffs feature opposing lanes of blue, red, pink, and yellow seed beads surrounding a column of red ochre. The vamps are similarly decorated with a rosette on the tongues. Short green fringe stems from the vamps and heels.
