Haudenosaunee Bag / 1830

A bag constructed from red and black stroud. The reverse consists of various pictorial motifs with thread-sewn seed beads, notably a sun and an abstracted being. Pony beads trim the edge. The bag is secured by the remnants of a ribbon thong.
