A pair of sinew and thread-sewn moccasins constructed from native-tanned hide. Soft moose hide soles with a second layer likely added during the late 19th century. The vamp exhibits traditional porcupine quillwork in blue, red, yellow, and white consisting of a stepped design eclipsed by a cross. Potentially crafted by an enslaved Sioux woman who was captivated by the Cree.
