Cheyenne Knife Sheath / 1880

A rawhide liner covered with native-tanned hide and backed by canvas, with a fully-beaded obverse. The obverse comprises a white field of sinew-sewn seed beads, with two columns of downward-facing triangles on the upper hemisphere. The lower hemisphere comprises a zig-zag motif of red "white heart" beads, outlined in blue. The edge is lined with white beads.
