Cheyenne Bandolier Bag / 1885

A "U" shaped bag constructed from native-tanned hide, decorated on the obverse with sinew-sewn seed beads. Semicircles of red "white heart" and greasy yellow sit near the base, bordered in outward-facing blue pyramids with green centers. The pouch is bisected using similar colors, with alternating squares of yellow/red on a white field. Blue beads trim the scalloped flap and edge seam. Long fringe encircles the sides and bottom, secured by a long strap featuring alternating sections of brass and seed beads.
