Assiniboine Moccasins / 1880

A pair of hard-soled moccasins with buffalo hide uppers, which are fully beaded on the vamps. A central zig-zag motif extends from the tongue, using green, orange, pink, and dark/light blue on a translucent white field. This is flanked by stepped "arrows" pointing towards the toe, accompanied by cross motifs. The edge seam features mirrored chevrons on a sky blue field. The cuffs are trimmed in red cloth.
