Plains Model Tipi / 1850-65

A model tipi constructed from native-tanned hide wrapped around eleven wood poles. The exterior exhibits abstract paintings of a warrior and a horse, with a zigzagged border using green, red, and white earth pigments. A series of nine-lacing pines secure the entrance flap.
