Apache Toy Cradle / Late 19th Century

A wood-backed cradle constructed out of native-tanned hide. The alcove is stuffed with period cloth and the rainbow is decorated in thread-sewn seed beads. The color palette consists of alternating bars of black, red, and green. Sky blue beads accent the center and rim. Accompanying the cradle is a custom table mount.
